Our Editor Roger got a chance to do a bit of hands-on with Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 7 Plus at MWC. He was able to capture short hands-on videos of both the devices and we are sharing the videos for your viewing pleasure.
Coming to the first impressions both Nokia 8 Sirocco and 7 Plus pack very attractive designs. Nokia 8 Sirocco however looks every bit the high-end premium phone that one can proudly show off. It looks different from any of the flagship smartphone available on the market and is a great showcase of Nokia Industrial design prowess. It is blazing fast just like Nokia 8 and the new Camera app is very fast with the Pro Mode. The OLED display has deep levels of black and colors pop nicely.
Nokia 7 Plus has a slightly different personality with 18:9, 6-inch display. While Nokia 8 Sirocco oozes beauty, Nokia 7 Plus looks imposingly attractive. The ceramic coating gives it a great hands-on feel. Snapdragon 660 proved to be really quick in whatever hands-on we were able to do with Nokia 7 Plus. The new Camera app on Nokia 7 Plus is very fast with the Pro Mode. The display is one of the brightest and most vibrant that you will ever see on a mid-range smartphone.
While the software on the demo units for both Nokia 8 Sirocco and 7 Plus was pre-final it was quite smooth on both the devices.
