HMD may be working to enhance Glance Screen on Nokia 8, may add new gestures and may also bring display color profile options. This has been revealed by an enthusiast user Cristian (cri347) who posted some screenshots of what he saw in debugging and testing activities on his Nokia 8 running Android 8.1 Beta.
Cristian (cri347) sent us the link to these screenshots which he had posted on XDA Forum. As you can see in the Glance Screen related screenshots, HMD seems is working to bring many new features and options to the Glance screen which is quite basic presently.
Allow to change the backlight, the number of notifications to be displayed (four or six), the activation delay, the style of the screen, add new apps (still very few) to the usual three and have an extended view of events in program.
There are some new additions to the gestures too. This is not surprising as HMD has already enable new gestures like double tap nav-bar to lock on the new Nokia 6 2018 in China. It needs to be seen however these new gestures come globally or not. Check the screenshots below.
Activate the gesture on the fingerprint reader, to manage the virtual navigation bar and to switch from rear camera to front and vice versa with a double twist
Then this screenshot reveals that we may also get an option to make the display more vibrant.
It also seems that these new options are not available on Android 8.0 stable version on Nokia 8. This makes it more probable that HMD is indeed working to bring these new features/options to Nokia 8.
