Nokia 5 was the first Android smartphone to receive Android Security update for the month of September ahead of even Nexus and Pixel smartphones. Now, HMD has pushed the September 2017 Android patch to Nokia 6 too.
As you can check in the screenshot that one of our readers from Poland has sent us, it is available now in at least some markets. Android Patch availability may also be phased for Nokia 6.
The update is 158.2 MB in size. You will either be prompted to download this update or you can check by going to Settings and searching system updates and then by checking for the update.
HMD has been quite consistent in terms of releasing Monthly Security updates and OS updates for Nokia smartphones already available in the market. HMD has also made it clear that all Nokia Android Phones will receive minimum two years of OS update support.
