Now time for our in-depth Nokia 3.4 rear and front cameras review. We will also compare Nokia 3.4 camera to Nokia 5.3 camera to assess how it fares in terms of imaging quality.

Portrait mode is another strong point of the Nokia 3.4 camera. Check the sample below captured in portrait mode.
Nokia 3.4 can capture really close macro images in photo mode. The first image shows the actual size of flowers up-close.
There is no dedicated macro mode but it can still get closer.

Nokia 3.4 keeps colors a bit cold in some cases, though in most of the cases it captures colors close to real-life. Results are however consistent when one talks about color-reproduction.

If you check the daylight video sample, Nokia 3.4 camera performs well in terms of detail capture and stabilization. In terms of low-light video recording, Nokia 3.4 camera performs well in terms of capturing more light, focusing better and also in terms of video stabilization. Focusing in low-light has improved over the older Nokia smartphones.
Comparison Conclusion & Final camera review:
Nokia 3.4 rear camera performs really well for a smartphone in its price range. It gives Nokia 5.3 camera a run for its money especially in low-light with the improved Night mode. The Nokia 3.4 captures ample amount of resolved details with slightly less-saturated colors and less sharpening applied. While many would like this approach many won’t. Perhaps it will be better to bring the color-reproduction and sharpening back to levels seen on Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 5.4.
We must mention that the Nokia 3.4 camera is really good at capturing Bokeh, Portrait and closeup macro images that will make you happy. The ultra-wide camera is also a great addition for capturing landscapes and provides really good results.
Nokia 3.4 front camera is a surprise performer. If you compare with Nokia 5.3 front camera results you will be able to notice the difference in imaging approaches easily. Nokia 3.4 front camera keeps skin tone more natural as compared to Nokia 5.3 front camera.
In low-light too, Nokia 3.4 rear camera captures well-illuminated images that compares very well to Nokia 5.3 rear camera. Night mode on Nokia 3.4 works much faster and gathers much more light. It is a improved version of the Night mode available on older Nokia smartphones.
Default video capture by Nokia 3.4 comes out as impressive in daylight. Even in low-light the focusing has improved a lot as compared to older smartphones.
