After a surprise roll-out by Nokia Mobile, Nokia 3.2 may be getting Android 11 update in Wave 2 markets now. One of our readers from Nigeria, which is not listed as a wave 1 market, shared screenshot of the smartphone receiving Android 11 update with us.

Nokia Mobile had confirmed Android 11 roll-out to Nokia 3.2 with a list of wave 1 markets. As one can notice Nigeria is not part of this list. So, it seems that, while an official confirmation is awaited, wave 2 roll-out of Android 11 to Nokia 3.2 may have begun.

Hello Nokia 3.2 users,

Great news for you, the rollout for Android 11 starts now!

To provide a smooth rollout, we dispatch the update in Waves.

10% of these approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50% by March 26th, and on March 28th, 100% of these markets will have received the Android 11 update.

The screenshot reveals that Android 11 build that Nokia 3.2 is receiving is V3.140. The update is 1.43GB in size. The update roll-out information is from Nigeria.

All other Nokia smartphones except Nokia 8.3 5G, that were supposed to get the Android 11 update before Nokia 3.2, haven’t received the update yet. If you check the original roadmap, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 2.2, Nokia 1.3, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 2.3, Nokia 2.4, and Nokia 3.4 were supposed to get the update before Nokia 3.2.

While Nokia 8.3 5G was always supposed to be the first Nokia smartphone to get Android 11, the update got delayed to February for the smartphone. Later HMD CPO Juho Sarvikas took to Twitter to post an encouraging tweet for Nokia smartphone owners. Juho promised repeating the feat of being the fastest in deploying Android 9 and 10 portfolio-wide in case of Android 11 too.

The last Nokia smartphone to upgrade to Android 11 was supposed to get the update in Q2 2021. Click here to read the complete roadmap of the Android 11 update for eligible Nokia smartphones. Click here to read official details of changes and new features that Android 11 update brings with itself.
