Verizon exclusive Nokia 2 V and Cricket Wireless exclusive Nokia 3.1 C have received software updates recently. HMD has released the August Security update for both the Nokia smartphones in the US.

Overview:
Effective 8/20/19, a new software update (00N0_1_39L) will be available for those Nokia 3.1 C customers who have software version 00N0_1_39I or 00N0_1_39K on their phone. This update will provide Google security updates.
Cricket will push this software update to customers, prompting them to install the software update to their phone
The most severe of the issues fixed by the August Security update is a critical security vulnerability in the System component that could enable a remote attacker using a specially crafted PAC file to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process.
