Introduction
Nokia is still a key leader in the feature phone segment . They have an extensive portfolio for different price segments with one aim, to provide a durable and reliable device while offering more value for your hard earned money.
Nokia 105 2G 2023
The Nokia 105 2G 2023 is among the most basic feature phone in the market and its sole purpose is for phone calls and texts. It omits unnecessary features and emphasizes on built quality and reliability.
The Nokia 105 2G offers a nano textured polycarbonate body with an IP52 rating that gives it splash and dust resistance.
Powering this device is a 1000mAh battery that is rated to last 12 hours of calls and up to 22 days of standby with a single charge via a micro USB cable.
The 1.8in LCD display with 65K colours is ample for a budget device like this and the speaker is loud and clear. This device runs on the S30+ platform which is practical and reliable. It offers LED flashlight, a wireless FM radio and even a 3.5mm headjack.
While it is a dual sim 2G device, the memory is not expandable but the device can store up to 2000 contacts and up to 500 text messages.
Who is it for?
The device omits certain features which are intended for its target audience. This is a no-nonsense approach which is vital to keep the price in check while offering better built quality and reliability. This is as basic as a feature phone can be and it will be interesting to see how the Nokia 105 2G 2023 fares against its bigger brother, the Nokia 105 4G 2023 which I will be sharing soon.
