Nokia today announced that their newly launched Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will join Nokia 8, Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 plus and Nokia 6 only to be tagged with Android Enterprise Recommended seal. Like HMD’s earlier devices Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 have pure Stock Android experience.

Ever since Android came into existence the concept of a business phone gradually disappeared.  The days are long gone when enterprise people used to carry a Blackberry smartphone with them and yes we all were enticed towards it. Android came and sort of disrupted the whole notion of a business phone. Android simply offers more!

The concept of a business phone is not dead it has evolved. The criteria are different from what it used to be 10 years ago for a phone to come under the canopy of so called business phone category.

Enterprise is all about productivity and getting things done when required. With Android Enterprise Recommended smartphones Nokia will offer a neat and clean experience with reliability and security on top of those.  It simply offers more flexibility, unlike a regular me too Android device.

In order for a smartphone to gain the seal of Android Enterprise, some set of requirements have been set by Google. They include three years of security updates with 2GB of primary memory and 32 GB of secondary memory, and most importantly a clean Android with default system apps.
