Microsoft has released Windows 10 Mobile official update for some existing Windows Phone 8.1 devices recently. But they didn’t provide the update for some popular model Lumias including the Lumia 1020, 925 and the 920. It is a big drawback/ mistake on Microsoft’s part, because this decision is very very disappointing one for users. In addition to that they said they have no plans to put Windows 10 on 512 MB RAM devices which is also quite a disappointing thing.

There were hopes that more Lumia devices will get the update in second wave of Windows 10 Mobile, but sadly Microsoft said they have no such plans for second wave update.

As per Microsoft the reason of this is performance issues and incompatibilities. But now Microsoft’s Gabe Aul has announced that there will be no second wave update for Windows 10 Mobile, but Lumia Icon is still under consideration , so hopefully it will get the update soon.
