Lightweight Google Maps Go for Android phones now available to download

Lightweight Google Maps Go for Android phones is now available to download from the store. Google Maps Go, a lighter, less processor-intensive version of Google Maps that doesn’t require the networking resources and it requires Android 4.1 or later versions

With the Google Maps Go app, you can get your location, real-time traffic updates, directions, and train, bus, and city transit information. You can even search and find information about millions of places, such as phone numbers and addresses.

It is available in over 70 languages, and in nearly 200 countries and territories.  It’s basically the same as Google Maps, but less pretty.
