.APK files are files that are used to install both systems as well as third-party apps on Android. Most of the times we just install or update an app directly from Google Play Store. But in case you haven’t received an update to a particular app or for some reason can’t install a particular app from Play Store, APK files come as the savior.

Time needed: 2 minutes.

How to install APK on your Android smartphone:

  1. Download APK

APK files installation is easy. All you need to do is to download the APK file using your browser and from a good source. We also offer APK downloads for Nokia exclusive apps and some important system and 3rd party apps. You can check our APK collection here.

  2. Enable installation from unknown sources

Now, before you try to install APK you need to enable “installation from unknown sources”. As you can see in the screenshots above you need to go to Settings–>Security–>Unknown sources and enable “Allow installation of apps from unknown sources”.

  3. Install APK

Once you are done with step 2 above, you can just tap on the downloaded APK file and allow it to install and you are done.
