Samsung is maintaining full momentum on its Android 17 testing roadmap. Following the initial release of its next-generation interface, the company has officially started deploying the One UI 9 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The software build is actively expanding across four key beta territories: the United Kingdom, United States, India, and South Korea. As reported in detail on NokiaPowerUser’s Galaxy S25 One UI 9 Beta 2 release report, this second release delivers a substantial batch of feature backports alongside much-needed stability patches.
4 New Galaxy AI Features Added to the S25 Lineup
Rather than serving solely as a maintenance patch, Beta 2 brings four standout Galaxy AI tools that originally debuted on the Galaxy S26 (Beta 7) and Samsung’s newest foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8.
Here is what S25 testers can start using right away:
Call Brief: Displays contextual information and related calendar events directly on your call screen while a conversation is active. If a colleague calls regarding an upcoming project or scheduled dinner, relevant notes and dates pop up automatically so you don’t have to navigate away from the phone app.
Custom Cards in Now Brief: Enhances your daily dashboard by allowing you to build personal briefing cards. You can pull live data feeds from sources like Samsung Health, Weather, and YouTube to keep your most relevant information front and center.
Now Nudge: Monitors active screen context in real time to suggest immediate follow-up actions without forcing you to switch apps. For instance, tapping an address inside a text thread lets you preview location data instantly.
My FanCam: A dynamic video editing tool designed for action clips. By selecting a target subject in any recorded video, the AI automatically reframes and re-centers the focal point throughout the recording—making it ideal for concert clips or sports videos.
Build Specs, Security Patch, and Fixes
The update arrives under firmware version S938BXXUCZZI4 (commonly referred to as ZZI4). It requires a download of approximately 650MB and bundles the August 2026 security patch to fortify system safety.
Beyond new AI capabilities, the changelog addresses three prominent performance bugs reported during the initial beta phase:
Bixby Vision Translations: Fixes unexpected app freezes when translating camera text overlays in real time.
Contacts App Stability: Resolves intermittent app crashes when searching or opening contact details.
Wi-Fi Connectivity: squashes a bug causing random signal drops on high-speed Wi-Fi networks.

How to Install the Update
If your Galaxy S25 device is already enrolled in the Samsung Members Beta Program, downloading the patch takes just a few steps:
Open Settings on your Galaxy device.
Scroll down and select Software update.
Tap Download and install.
Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has at least 50% battery remaining before starting the update process.
For those of you already testing out this build on your S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra, which of the four new Galaxy AI features—Call Brief, Custom Cards, Now Nudge, or My FanCam—feels like the most genuinely useful addition to your daily routine so far?
