It has been rumored a lot and even we reported via our sources that Microsoft is planning to bring future Windows Phone devices with cutting-edge hardware specs.
Now, some evidence emerges from GFXBench, where we could catch a device named “Qualcomm LiQUID” listed with Adreno 420, cropped 2K display resolution 1422 x 800 vs (2560 x 1440) and the best part is that it runs on Windows OS, which can very well be Windows Phone 8.1. Unfortunately GFXBench has removed system information from devices so, it is difficult to confirm the manufacturer, but we have seen devices manufactured by Nokia getting tested in Qualcomm’s name.
Anyways, this is good evidence that Snapdragon 805 processor is under testing with 2K display on a Windows device and we can really look forward to some future devices, packed with this cutting-edge Hardware. Like Windows Phone 8 GDR3 brought support for 1080p display and Snapdragon 800, Windows Phone 8.1 opens door to 2K (QHD) resolution display and Snapdragon 805. Are you excited?
