Nokia 8 owners are eagerly waiting for the release of Android Pie to their devices, but HMD couldn’t really keep its promise of a release in November. Though, it may not be too long a wait, as HMD CPO Juho Sarvikas confirmed on twitter that it may take couple of more days for quashing bugs and making it perfect.
We have been burning the midnight oil to get your Nokia 8 on Android Pie. Unfortunately we still have few issues to address and need a couple of more days to make it perfect. Thank you for your patience 🙏

We already had the oven for weeks at 200c but trust me that it's now 270c

In an earlier tweet Juho has confirmed that update approval process for the UK is bit complicated but still they are trying to get the Pie to Nokia 7.1 before Christmas.
Hi Mike! We are not holding Brexit against you, don't worry! UK requires more complicated approval process. Target to get it to you before this guy comes 🎅

This might also explain why some Nokia devices are laggards when it comes to security and other updates. We have often seen Nokia smartphone owners from the UK market complaining about late release of security updates for them.
