A latest report from ABI research has said that Microsoft (Nokia) has gained most in terms of Enterprise smartphone vendor score. Though the report puts Microsoft at no. 4 vendor ranking with Apple at number one followed closely by Samsung, with BlackBerry at third place, it says that Microsoft saw a rising number of devices enrolled in EMM programs.
BlackBerry maintained its third place ranking, but Microsoft (Nokia) showed the most improvement. While BlackBerry was able to maintain its ranking, lower than expected device shipments hindered the company’s overall score. Microsoft (Nokia), on the other hand, saw a rising number of devices enrolled in EMM programs. Couple this with security updates to the Windows Phone platform enabled the company to improve the overall score significantly.
Microsoft has promoted Windows Phone as the platform of choice for Enterprise customers in recent times and this report looks encouraging.
