Microsoft has released Windows 10 Mobile Build 10166 as the latest preview build for Windows Insiders and we will cover the Build with screenshots and hands-on videos. But we already know many changes that this build brings over the last preview Build 10149, thanks to Emulator Build 10158 and Build 10166. Now we though of consolidating all these known changes in one list for you.
Build 10166 changelog (Over Build 10149):
- The built-in camera app includes rich capture by default and video recording has options up to 120fps.
- Microsoft Edge and Store apps both have transparent tiles instead of the default blue color.
- Very smooth transitions for opening and switching apps.
- The People app’s live tile uses circles where your contact’s pictures roll around instead of square tiles that flip.
- The volume slider is back to being rounded again.
- Show Alarms, reminders and incoming VOIP calls on the lock screen possible in notifications settings now
- Updated Phone settings
- Dialer ID visibility can be controlled whether to be shown to everyone
- Add boarding passes and tickets in one “Pocket”. Wallet is back and is capable of adding “loyalty cards and passes by linking apps from the store to your wallet”
