Update:
More rumors about a Meizu smartphone known as “Supreme” powered by Nokia’s software and hardware!! This time it is from a different and more trustworthy source. A Weibo account called “Ubuntu Team” with some history to support its credentials as a leakster has posted above image claiming that the Nokia will be responsible for hardware and software of upcoming “Meizu Supreme”.
Though the purpose of use of “Lumia 1030” name in the above image is bit unclear, but may be the leakster wanted to hint about some imaging tech from Nokia.
Thanks Xio-Feng for the tip. Cheers!!

It is a bit surprising rumor and take it with a pinch of salt!! Claims have emerged in China that Meizu, the smartphone maker will use Nokia’s hardware and software expertise for its upcoming Meizu MX4 international version.
The rumor doesn’t claim that Meizu will license Nokia’s name and rather claims that Meizu MX4 hardware design and software refinement will be done by Nokia to suite taste of international market. This is bit contrary to the new business model adopted by Nokia where it is licensing “Nokia” brand along with hardware and software design for Nokia N1 and its range of upcoming Nokia-branded tablets.
Official slides and webcast from Nokia capital world has made it clear that Nokia can’t even license its brand on smartphones before Q4, 2016. Read more here. Nokia had also revealed that it plans to bring Android powered Nokia-branded smartphones too in future, but can’t do it before Q4 2016. Read more here.
So, if we think from Nokia’s perspective, it may be a good deal all the way as they can earn good money without even licensing their name which is not possible as of now. But again let’s wait for more info to emerge, before trusting this!!
Thanks Tom for the tip. Cheers!!
