Introduction

Both the Nokia X30 5G and the Nokia G60 5G are making ways to newer markets and it is interesting to see how they both compare.

In my previous article and video I shared about the hardware offerings and how the Nokia G60 5G fared compared to its more expensive sibling. In this article I will be sharing some images taken by both the devices but I will suggest you to head over to the video where I explain how both devices perform in various lighting situation and with various modes.

NOKIA X30 VS G60 HERO IMAGE

Nokia X30 5G and Nokia G60 5G

The Nokia X30 5G is marketed as having the best Pureview experience till date. While both devices have a 50MP primary shooter that gives an effective 12.5MP pixel binned image, the sensors used are different. The X30 clearly have a more expensive setup compared to the G60.

It will be interesting to see how they both compare as the X30 marks the return of OIS in a Pureview device. And we are back again to where we start. Do we still need OIS and how much does it influence the outcome as modern sensors and electric stabilization are already good.

While the X30 seems to have an easy hand with low light photography ,thanks to its more potent hardware, the G60 has to rely more on the software side in the final outcome of the image. So, how good is the latest imaging algorithms? Is nightmode 2.0 a significant upgrade over its predecessor? How different is Dark Vision and tripod mode on both these devices?

Picture A and B were taken with the tripod mode from both the devices. But which is which?

Head on to the video below which is very lengthy, as I try to cover the observation made between both these devices and the answer to the question above.

I do hope that the video helps you understand how the new algorithm perform on the devices. I will be comparing the X30 to the Nokia 8.3 and the Nokia 9 Pureview next.
