HMD has moved quickly in the last few days to make the official Android 10 update build for Nokia 7.1, 6.1 Plus, 7 Plus and most recently 6.1. The time now for our hands-on video of Nokia 6.1 running the official update.
In this video, we have demoed the major changes and features that Android 10 brings over Android Pie. We have also shared our impressions of the update.
All the changes and new features:
The Android 10 official update brings a new option to adjust the sensitivity in the Gesture-based navigation option that does away with even the back and home buttons. Check the video for more.
In other major changes, Digital Wellbeing is enhanced with new “Focus Mode” and “Family link” features. Finally, the system-wide dark mode is here and if you enable it even apps adopt the dark theme if the developer has enabled it on their apps.
The audio volume control has become easier to access with a new overlay for most important audio settings. There is a smart reply in notifications and also new options to control the priority of notifications.

Impressions:
Nokia 6.1 with the Android official update runs smoothly and overall performance feels slightly improved over the Android Pie. We didn’t face any deal-breaking bugs like freezes and random reboots. Google has removed the “Face unlock” from its smart unlock feature in Android 10 hence you will find it missing.
Coming to bugs and issues, if you use headphones you may face some noise and disturbance now and then and HMD needs to fix these with a new update. Battery life, just like on Nokia 7.1 and 6.1 Plus, has been similar to what we have been getting with Pie or slightly better. In case you find other issues/bugs please share in the comments below.
