It comes as a surprise but HMD has started rolling-out Android 8.1 Oreo to Nokia 5 in many of the markets. Usually the updates are announced by Juho, the HMD CPO on Twitter but seems going forward some of the OS updates will come without Beta testing. Anyways this is certainly a good news and we can hope 8.1 Oreo to hit Nokia 6 soon too.
How to update & update size:
You will either be prompted to download this update or you can check by going to Settings and searching system updates and then by checking for the update. The update is around 866.7 MB in size and you need to be on WiFi to download and install it.
