Compal, if you know is the manufacturing partner of Nokia which produces Lumia devices for Nokia. This company was not profitable for most of the 2011 and reported loss of about NT$475 million recorded in the first three-quarters of the year 2011.

Now good news is that, with increased shipments of Lumia devices in Q4 2011, it booked profits of nearly NT$309 million (US$10.44 million) in Q4 2011.

Better news is that, Compal has also seen its shipments of smartphones continue growing since 2012 with its monthly revenues hitting a 5-year high of NT$5.95 billion in February, according to company data.

This is very encouraging and positive trend for Lumia’s acceptance and increasing sales in markets with time.
