HMD has announced in Thailand that it will be the first South-East Asian market to get new Nokia Android smartphones. Nokia 3 will be available in Thailand in 2nd week of June priced at 4,850 baht (USD 141).

Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 will also be launched in June priced at 6,490 (USD 189) and 7,990 USD 232) baht, respectively. HMD Global’s regional general manager Sandeep Gupta emphasized how being the first market to get Nokia Android Phone shows Thailand’s importance in HMD’s plans. Nokia phones will be retailed through three mobile operators and distributors such as JayMart and TG One.

Thailand has always been a strong Nokia market. Even the Lumia smartphones enjoyed lots of popularity in Thailand. It is though surprising to see no mention of Nokia 3310 (2017) release in the source article.

There was no mention of Nokia 3310 in HMD invites sent in Malaysia too. We just reported that HMD is planning to launch Nokia 3, 5 and 6 in Malaysia on May 30. But since Thailand is supposed to be the first market to get a Nokia Android phone, it will be interesting to learn about actual release dates in Malaysia.

Apart from Malaysia and Thailand, we now have exact official release date in Russia.  Unofficial reports from Iraq claim that Nokia 3, 5 and 6 were launched and Nokia 6 became available to buy.

Clove in UK has suggested release dates of June 30 for Nokia 3 and 5, while Nokia 6 being exclusive to Carphone Warehouse may also land on similar dates.
