Updated: Retail sources say Nokia 7 global launch plans deferred

Update: In a not so happy development, Nokia 7 global launch plans may have undergone a change and the phone is no more coming in November, claim our retail sources. They still are hopeful for the month of December but are not sure of a date. A reason for this delay is cited as Nokia 7 strong sales performance in China and HMD won’t launch it globally without good stock situation.

Original:

While HMD made Nokia 2 official during the global launch event in India, it left many fans disappointed by not talking about Nokia 7 at all. Nokia 7 was launched in China on October 19 where it sold out immediately in its first outing.

Since it was the first Nokia Android smartphone running Snapdragon 6XX series of processors which are known to be good performers, many are looking forward to it. On top of that, it brings a camera with OZO Audio, Zeiss optics, Dual-Sight aka Bothie feature and a new design with 3D glass and metal.

But if our sources have to be believed we may get lucky in the month of November, when HMD may plan to launch Nokia 7 globally including India as one of the markets. HMD considers Nokia 7 very important and as we have earlier reported will go ahead with “one device at one time” kind of launch strategy.
