According to a new report strong Nokia Phone shipments may have pushed Foxconn, responsible for manufacturing Nokia Phones to the top ODM ranking in Taiwan in Q3 2017. In fact, orders from HMD Global may have driven the overall Handset shipments from all ODMs significantly.

The report from Digitimes mentions,

Handset shipments from ODMs posted a significant growth in the third quarter, buoyed by orders from HMD Global (Nokia) to the Foxconn Group.

Also thanks to orders from HMD Global, the Foxconn Group ranked the number one supplier of handsets in the third quarter, while HTC and Asustek Computer tied for second place.

The  report further reveals that the orders from HMD Global for Nokia Phone have remained strong in Q4 2017 too.

Total handset shipments by Taiwan’s makers are expected to reach over 24 million units in the fourth quarter of 2017 as orders from HMD Global still remain strong and HTC and Asustek are ramping shipments of new models.

This is a great news for HMD and Nokia fans as many other reports from renowned analyst firms have confirmed strong traction for Nokia Phones.  Many Market share reports released recently confirm the initial success that HMD is enjoying.
