A feature that Microsoft should have made available for all Lumia devices when they started taking away the dedicated camera button seems coming in future Windows 10 Mobile Redstone builds. We are talking about having camera button on lockscreen to access camera without unlocking the device. Even now abandoned devices like Nokia X2 has this feature and some one and half years ago we penned an article talking about the need of bringing this feature to Lumia range.

As you can see in the screenshot it seems the camera button will be placed next to the home button on devices having on-screen buttons. The feature doesn’t work on devices with hardware navigation buttons yet but that may change in future. The image has been posted by WinBeta. It is not clear yet when will this feature land for Windows 10 Mobile devices, but hopefully next Windows 10 Mobile Redstone build brings it next week.
