Nokia G11 Plus getting official Android 13 update now (Markets & update details)

In good news for Nokia G11 Plus owners, the smartphone is now receiving the official Android 13 update. This takes number of Nokia smartphones with available Android 13 update to Nine. The Android 13 update for Nokia G11 Plus also brings the April security update for 2023.

Android 13 Update details for Nokia G11 Plus:

Android 13 update for Nokia G11 Plus comes with build version V2.420. It is a big 2.4GB in size. The update for Nokia G11 Plus is confirmed to be available in India with April security update. The update may be available in other markets too.

With the latest addition Nokia Mobile has now officially released Android 13 update to Nokia G10, Nokia X30 5G, Nokia G60 5G, Nokia XR20 5G, Nokia X10 5G, Nokia X20 5G, Nokia G50 5G, Nokia G20 and Nokia G11 Plus so far. Nokia Mobile however confirmed the compatibility of Android 13 for Eleven of its smartphones in Google Android Enterprise recommended devices list.

So, we may soon see the Android 13 update roll-out for remaining smartphones: Nokia G11 and Nokia G21. As mentioned above these two have been confirmed to Android 13 compatible by Nokia Mobile.

Nokia G11 Plus April security update changelog:

Along with Android 13 OS update, Nokia G11 Plus is also receiving the 2023 April Android security patch with the update. Here is what the April security update addresses as mentioned by Google on its official Security bulletin page.

The most severe of these issues is a critical security vulnerability in the System component that could lead to remote (proximal/adjacent) code execution with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. The severity assessment is based on the effect that exploiting the vulnerability would possibly have on an affected device, assuming the platform and service mitigations are turned off for development purposes or if successfully bypassed.
