Nokia 9 TA-1005 had passed Russian certification in May 2017

Nokia 9 TA-1005 variant has recently passed certification at FCC revealing some major specs in the process. But while we are still waiting for Nokia 9 official launch, on checking we noticed that this TA-1005 had passed Russian certification long time back.

In fact, we had reported about Nokia TA-1005 passing Russian certification in May 2017. Check our earlier article here. So, why so much delay in launching a phone when it was planned and was even certified in some markets. If you recall our earlier coverage of Nokia 8/9, many Nokia 9 related rumors had started appearing around April-May 2017. Check the screenshot of the certificate below.

It may have something to do with the unavailability of a very important component: the Snapdragon 835 processor. Samsung had usurped the lion share of all Snapdragon 835 supply in the beginning of 2017. Also, HMD faced lots of issues in supplying Nokia 3310, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 around that period. So this all may have made HMD pushing Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 release dates down the line.

In last few days lots of Nokia 9 leaks have appeared confirming and revealing most of the specs. You can read and check all that we know about Nokia 9 including specs, features, images and more at our dedicated Nokia 9 page. As per the leaked images, Nokia 9 will sport an edge to edge 3D glass display and a virtually bezel-less design.

We have heard from our sources that Nokia 9 will come with 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB ROM, IP68 certification. As per a tip received by us earlier, Nokia 9 may be price around EUR 749 in European markets.
