New info puts Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL as final names of upcoming flagships

Last we talked about upcoming Lumia Flagships names, it was via a source that had tipped us for the first time!! If your remember what the source told us about on-screen touch buttons and Lumia 830 successor has been confirmed by other sources too. But the source in question had also claimed that he saw Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL names in marketing material. Back in July however, we had reported via one of our regular sources that it may come as Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL and we had given it a 50:50 chance.

Now Evan Blass of Evleaks fame, who leaked press images of the duo, has claimed that it will be Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL and not Lumia 940 / XL.

We are really not going to waste any more time on finding the name of devices at the time of release, as it is hardly a big deal!! In past we have seen Nokia Lumia 909 coming finally as Lumia 1020, while in the phone system it was and still is “Nokia 909”. So, may be Microsoft has finally settled for Lumia 950 / Lumia 950 XL.

After the first press images leak of Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL, a new render of Lumia 940 has also leaked in White.
