Microsoft says no to 512 MB & 4 GB ROM Windows 10 Mobile devices in future

27

Microsoft has made changes to its Windows 10 Mobile‘s “Minimum Hardware specifications” and while we reported leak of Snapdragon 830 and addition of Snapdragon 820 and Snapdragon 625 to list of supported new processors there are more significant changes made by Microsoft. It seems with Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 1 aka Anniversary update there will be no devices with less than 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage in future.

Earlier Microsoft had kept it quite flexible allowing even 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage Windows 10 Mobile devices. As per the new requirements here is the minimum required RAM for various display resolutions. Microsoft has recently cancelled official Windows 10 Mobile update for devices with less than 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage.
