Microsoft announces Windows 10 consumer experience event on January 21

Windows-10-InviteWe reported about Microsoft planning to hold an event to talk about consumer side of Windows 10 including phones & tablets around 4th week of January. And now, a January 21 event has been announced by Microsoft to talk about the “the next chapter of Windows 10”. This next chapter as revealed is about “the Windows 10 consumer experience”.

On Wednesday, January 21st – we will be holding an event here on Microsoft’s Redmond campus where we will talk about the next chapter of Windows 10. You’ll hear directly from senior leaders from the Operating Systems Group including Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore and Phil Spencer who will talk about the Windows 10 consumer experience –

The Windows (Phone) 10 may bring some new features like side-by-side split (snap view) multitasking, FLAC support, some UI changes and more to Windows Phone and Tablets. Earlier we heard about actionable notifications too, but that may not arrive initially, sources indicate. We will let you know about what comes with Windows (Phone 10), as we hear more form our sources.

Microsoft may also reveal Windows (Phone) 10  developers preview update release timings and per tipsters, it may not be before April-May now, when one can expect it rolling to dev preview devices. Though, it may release before or even after that timeline.
