Instagram Stories

Instagram on Android is receiving a new update in the Google Play Store. With this update, Facebook is adding one more feature to the bunch, and that’s the ability to replay live videos as Instagram stories, which now has 250 million users. All you have to do is make a live video and then share it as a story so that more of your friends and followers can catch up on, later, in case they missed.

Here’s how it works

After you end the live stream, you’ll be able to tap “Share” at the bottom of the screen which will add the stream to your Instagram Stories for 24 hours. Otherwise, choose Discard, and your live video will disappear from the app as usual.

How to replay

Live Videos to Instagram Stories
Your followers will see a play button under your profile photo in the stories bar. Tap it to watch the video and see comments and likes from the original broadcast. You can also tap the right or left side of the screen to jump forward or back 15 seconds or tap Send Message to reply.

If someone has shared multiple replays, you’ll see arrows at the top so you can easily jump between videos. And when watching your own replay, the number of viewers will include everyone who saw it live and in stories.
