IDC has released it data about Q2 2013 smartphone shipments and there are some encouraging news for Windows Phone OS and Nokia in particular. Windows Phone has cemented its position with 3.7% overall smartphone market share with a 77.6% year-on-year growth. Nokia holds the pie with 81.6% share of WP shipments amounting to 7.1 million shipped devices. Which leads us to believe that Nokia’s 7.4 million sold Lumia indicates a very healthy “supply chain situation” for Nokia with no excess Lumia inventory.
