HMD to release another fix for Nokia 9 PureView in-display fingerprint sensor issue still faced by a very small set of users

3

HMD CPO Juho Sarvikas has revealed on Twitter that a new software update will fix Nokia 9 PureView in-display fingerprint sensor issue that he claims is manifesting in very small sample size. He posted this in response to a tweet by a Nokia 9 PureView owner.

It seems that last software fixes for Nokia 9 PureView increased the reliability of the fingerprint sensor but for the user in question, it can still be fooled by unauthorized fingerprints.

So, we can expect fixes arriving with a future update. These kind of issues are not uncommon and nearly all smartphones including the Google Pixel have faced many issues since their introduction to the market. HMD has a good track record of keeping its devices up to date and so that makes a difference.
