HMD: Nokia 9 PureView camera & in-display fingerprint sensor experience to be improved

6

Nokia 9 PureView is available in the US market and already shipping to buyers in few European countries. Now, while the smartphone camera has won lots of appreciation from the early adopters, there are a few reports suggesting some issues with Camera app operational performance.

There are some reports about the in-display fingerprint sensor not working as expected but the face unlock option has seen more acceptance. Now, HMD CPO Juho Sarvkas has taken to twitter to confirm that company will work to fix these two issues.

Juho admits that they do have reports about camera crashes when charge is low. Due to five camera working at the same time this results in battery voltage drop leading to camera crashes. His tweet suggests that HMD will address it and also the issues with in-display finger print sensor.

So, we can expect some fixes arriving with a future update. These kind of issues are not uncommon and nearly all smartphones including the Google Pixel have faced many issues since their introduction to market. HMD has a good track record of keeping its devices up to date and so that makes a difference.
