Nokia today announced that it expects the transaction whereby the company will sell substantially all of its Devices & Services business to Microsoft to close on April 25, 2014. The transaction is now subject only to certain customary closing conditions.
A letter written by Nokia to its suppliers reveals that Microsoft will name the Nokia’s Devices & Services division entity, Nokia Oyj as “Microsoft Mobiles Oy” post the deal-closure. The deal was expected to close in April, once Nokia and Microsoft had secured approval from China, which has imposed some conditions on Microsoft before approving the deal.
