Nokia X updateA new update is rolling out for Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL. The update brings Nokia X2 like “app multitasking” to Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL.

For going to the app multitasking screen, which is referred as app-switcher, one needs to swipe down form the top and press the app-switcher icon as shown in above screenshot. Once there, you can see the app cards and also close them by clicking on the ‘x’. This is required as unlike Nokia X2, Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL don’t have two hardware buttons.

Apart from the the multitasking, the update brings below changes,

Several great Microsoft services now come pre-installed. Outlook.com, OneDrive and OneNote are all integrated, meaning that everybody now has access to their Outlook email, cloud storage, and really useful note-taking tools.

Outlook.com includes support for multiple Outlook accounts, with push notifications and calendar/contact syncing.

With OneNote Mobile, not only do you have instant access to your Microsoft OneNote 2010 notebooks stored on your OneDrive account, you can also create jottings right from your Nokia X and sync up to 500 of your notes.

The improved Nokia Store makes it easier to search, find and download games or apps onto your Nokia X.

Nokia Store also integrates other third-party app stores, meaning all of your app exploring can be done under one roof, making for a consistent experience.

Other improvements in the Store include a new Home screen Spotlight widget for app discovery and one-click downloads for faster access to apps.

You can check for the update by going to settings > About phone > System updates > Check now.
