WhatsApp has snagged yet another update on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile. The update takes the app version to 2.16.122.0.

While there are no visible changes that one can notice immediately in the updated app, there is support for a new font called FixedSys. The FixedSys font support arrived on Android some days ago and now it has landed on Windows Phone app too.

How To use the FixedSys font:

As you can see in the screenshot above, you need to add three characters before and after the text or part of the sentence to convert it to FixedSys font (“`Text“`) before sending. Once done the receiver will get the text of word in FixedSys font.
