In an interesting revelation a phone named “Nokia Phi” has been caught on WP Bench. The device is running Windows Phone OS 8.0.9698.0, which looks like the most recent build of WP8/Apollo leaked yet. Now the most obvious question coming to mind is whether Nokia is changing names of Apollo running Phones from Lumia to something else. Or like earlier leaked Superphones, Nokia Prodigy and AC/DC each will have their own names. Also Apollo tipped to be out in June, the excitement is sure to build up.

I saw this firmware for Lumia 900 on NaviFirm sometime back, but didn’t report because it was only available for Finland. Now what seems like “validation of the theory that availability on NaviFirm precedes the release”, Esphoneblog.com reports that Lumia 900 with the above mentioned Tango/WP7.5 refresh firmware is now available in stores. Obviously it has internet sharing/Tethering out of the box.

The source also claims that sales will begin officially on 25th May and the price is currently 529 EUR at Giganti.

Vesa Jutila, Head of Product Marketing for the 808 PureView has said that there was plenty more high-spec digital imaging products in the pipeline.

• While he didn’t say anything specifically about any future Lumia-Pureview devices, but perhaps he said, there were “multiple ways” that Nokia could run with its new imaging jewel.
• Slimmer models are a possibility, still containing high-end Zeiss optics and Nokia’s oversampling techniques avoiding the need for optical zoom.
• He added that the next generation of Nokia camera sensors are already being worked on.
• Future PureView products “would not necessarily have the same 41-megapixel sensor” of 808 PureView.

Now we have got some info from a Nokia Italy spokesperson who confirms,

• N8 will get lighter version of FP1 shortly
• Browser version 8.2 and new Social application.Bit of processor speed bump on the lines of full FP1 for  603, 700 and 701.
• N8 will also get FP2 and also that Carla name has been shelved after all.

With this release you can find nearby transit stations and see upcoming departure times. Take the underground instead of the bus if there is heavy traffic on the way, or travel just by tram to get a better look at the city!

Coverage:

This app supports timetable-based information in certain cities & regions and estimated routing in others. Estimated routing uses the map data to calculate a heuristic route, based on the likely frequency of lines.  That means we have no exact departure and arrival times, but only know how long a journey using certain lines might take.
